Who'd a thunk it....

I am from the South, born and bred Southern belle, the only good reason I can think that I would have a Midland accent would be that I was a vocal major who had to learn diction, enunciation and pronunciation correctly. I love these quizzes they are fun. Thanks Deneen for finding this one.

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

This was an easy one to do also and pretty accurate. My husband is from outside of Boston and his entire family has a heavy accent, one sister's is so bad I have trouble understanding her. When he moved to this area 20 years ago, he "retrained" his voice and lost his accent completely-I tease him and tell him he sounds like a newscaster to me.
