Crochet happy

I love to crochet what can I say. It is my stress relief and a wonderful way to pray. I have been making Christmas gifts for friends and family over the last few months and working on finding a place to open a yarn shop in my small city I live in. So far I have made 3 afghans and 3 ponchos and am in the process of working on a very large afghan for someone here at work. I hope when I am able to open my shop I will have more time to crochet more. Right now it is after work and on weekends.
I started crocheting when I was 12 years old. The lady that taught me was my babysitter at the time, she started keeping me when I was 6 weeks old till I was about 12 I think. I thank God for her she has been an inspiration to me my entire life. I can talk to her about anything and she never judges me for anything. I didn't pick up crocheting till I was in my 30's and since then I have never put it down. I can't get enough of it. I crochet at my daughters soccer games and kids ask me all the time to please show them how to crochet and I have even had men ask me to teach them.
Recently I was invited to teach at a local craft store but I haven't quite made my mind up about it because it is a long way to drive and as we all know gas is so expensive.
